The funds you raise are put to work where they are needed most to support patients and their families in the Mater Public Hospital. Your support has the power to change lives for the better. With the help of supporters like you, we continue to invest in the future of the hospital by funding advanced state-of-the-art medical equipment, new services and hospital redevelopment, research and innovation initiatives, and by providing patient, family and staff support when it is most needed.

How do I promote my In Memory page?

add remove

Send out information by email, share your fundraising page on social media. If you would like people to be able to see your fundraising page, go to your fundraising hub to make your page public and searchable on the website.

How do I ask people for donations?

add remove

The number one reason why people donate to charities is because they were asked – so don’t be afraid of asking! Tell your supporters why the cause is important to you and remind them that every euro makes a difference. Many workplaces will also match what you raise so it’s worth asking your boss if this is something they will do.

How do I share my page on social media?

add remove

When you registered, you will have received an email containing your fundraising page and login details. Just copy your fundraising page URL and paste into an email or your social media account. When you are logged into your fundraising hub or viewing your fundraising page, you can also click on the social media share buttons.

I shared my fundraising page on Facebook and it promted me to add a donate button, should I use this?

add remove

We would advise you don’t use the Facebook donate button. Unfortunately we are unable to track funds raised on Facebook to individuals, so any donations made using the Facebook donate button will not appear on your fundraising page or be added to your total fundraising amount.
