^{By registering for this event, the participant acknowledges and accepts that they:}

^{Are physically fit and have no physical condition, disease or injury which will impair them participating in the “Remembrance 5K Walk” on Sunday 26th November 2023.}
^{Are aware that this walking activity is not without attendant risk and that they will be exposed to the cold and the elements given the time of year.}
^{Have not been advised against participating in this activity or other related activities by their doctor or other medical professional.}
^{Will not consume recreational drugs and or alcohol before or during the Event on Sunday 26th November 2023.}
^{Understand that their participation in the walking event on Sunday 26th November 2023 constitutes a risk of injury (including diseases, paralysis or death) or mishap to me, and they voluntarily and knowingly recognise, accept and assume these risks personally and at their own volition.}
^{Are entering the “Remember Me Walk” event of their own free will and are aware of and assume all risks associated with participating in this event, including, but not limited to:}

^{Slip and fall hazards at entry point and egress point due to uneven ground and wet surfaces;}
^{Collisions and contact with others participating in the event;}
^{Effect of weather.}
^{Damage or theft to personal property while walking.}
^{Hazards posed by volunteers, spectators or members of the public.}

^{Shall participate with self-awareness, awareness of others and of my surrounding environment, with due care and caution, always looking out for their own safety and the safety of others.}
^{Acknowledge that ”The Remember Me Walk” organisers are volunteers raising money for the Mater Foundation.}
^{Understand that without their efforts, the “Remembrance Walk” would not take place. In consideration, hearby agree to keep:}

^{Free from any legal claim however caused by my participation in the “Remembrance Walk” on Saturday 26th November 2023 including any risks that may be the result of the negligence of those persons mentioned above.}
^{Accordingly, by agreeing to these terms and conditions, participants release and discharge all those listed above from any losses or liabilities that may arise from their participation in the “Remembrance Walk” event and agree not to sue any of those persons for any claims, losses, or liabilities.}
